Modem SEO is the new evolution of Greater Sum Marketing, a marketing consulting business run by Sean Kelly since 2014. After years of working as a general marketing consultant, in 2018 Sean began focusing on serving the growing demand he saw for SEO and SEM expertise. To communicate this new specialization, Sean rebranded his consulting business under the name Modem SEO and has continued to develop and refine his methods to better serve his client’s needs.

Many business owners and managers find it difficult to run their own search marketing. They often lack the time and/or expertise needed to do so effectively. It can even be difficult to hire someone else to do it because managers don’t know what questions they should ask. I help build the connections that bring people together. I’ve been doing that as a marketing consultant since 2014, and in that time I’ve helped clients in consumer goods, non-profit organizations, and the creative arts to more effectively communicate with their customers and other shareholders. My education includes two marketing degrees, a Bachelor’s from Columbia College in Chicago and a Master’s from Roosevelt University.
For fun I like to playing board games with friends, watch sci-fi shows, read comic books, and listen to hip hop and house music.
